Meerkat Experience

• Duration: 30 Minutes
• Time: 11:00 AM
• Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Only 1 experience is available per day, with a maximum of 2 people.

The minimum age requirement is 8 years old.

What to expect on the day:

The 30-minute VIP experience begins with a health and safety briefing from the Zookeeper who will then take you inside the meerkat enclosure. You will then help our Zookeeper feed the meerkats whilst learning more about these adorable animals.

You will have plenty of opportunity to take some fantastic photographs, so don’t forget to bring your camera! Get booking, it’s simples!

Your animal experience will last for 30 minutes. Children must be 8+ years old to participate. Any children under 16 years old must be with a supervising adult. Supervising adults Must purchase a "spectators/Supervsing adult ticket" avaialble in the ticket listing. This ticket will cover costs for admission to the zoo all day. Any adult wishing to partipate in the experience as well, must purchase a "partipating ticket". Any annual members that will be acting as supervising adults, will not be required to pucrchase their ticket, but MUST show a valid membership on entry to the zoo!

Lemur Experience

• Duration: 30 Minutes
• Time: 1:00PM
• Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Only 1 experience is available per day, with a maximum of 2 people.

Lemur Experiences:

The minimum age requirement is 8 years old.

What to expect on the day:

The 30 Minute VIP experience begins with a health and safety briefing from the Zookeeper who will then take you to meet our wonderful lemurs. You will then help our Zookeeper feed the lemurs whilst learning more about these adorable animals.

You will have plenty of opportunity to take some fantastic photographs so don’t forget to bring your camera! They like to move it, move it! 

Your animal experience will last for 30 minutes. Children must be 8+ years old to participate. Any children under 16 years old must be with a supervising adult. Supervising adults Must purchase a "spectators/Supervsing adult ticket" avaialble in the ticket listing. This ticket will cover costs for admission to the zoo all day. Any adult wishing to partipate in the experience as well, must purchase a "partipating ticket". Bird Of Prey Experience

• Duration: 30 Minutes
• Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Bird of Prey Experiences:

The minimum age requirement is 8 years old.

What to expect on the day:

The 30-Minute VIP experience begins with a health and safety briefing from the Zookeeper who will then take you to meet our magnificent birds. You will then get to help fly the bird to the glove, whilst learning about these amazing animals.

You will have plenty of opportunity to take some fantastic photographs, so don’t forget to bring your camera and come fly with me!    

Your animal experience will last for 30 minutes. Children must be 8+ years old to participate. Any children under 16 years old must be with a supervising adult. Supervising adults Must purchase a "spectators/Supervsing adult ticket" avaialble in the ticket listing. This ticket will cover costs for admission to the zoo all day. Any adult wishing to partipate in the experience as well, must purchase a "partipating ticket". Duration: 150 Minutes

Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Only 1 Keeper for the day experience is available per day, please select either 1 adult or 1 child on when booking.

Keeper for the day experience: 

This exciting experience offers all animal lovers and inspiring zoo keepers the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and have a taste of life as a zookeeper. During this 2 ½ hour experience you will get to work with some of our zoo keepers to look after a variety of species within the zoo. 

Activities may Include: 

• Helping clean out enclosures to ensure all the animals are well cared for. 
• Prepare food and feed a variety of species 
• Get behind the scenes access
• Cover a range of sections, including birds, tropical house, small carnivores ( such as meerkats) and primates (such as lemurs.)
• Get the opportunity to get up close and personal with our amazing species and ensure you take lots of photos. 

Junior keepers for the day should be 8-15 years old. Adult Keepers may be 16+

Duration: 4 Hours

Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Only 1 experience is available per day, with a minimum of 4 people, maximum 15. If the booking requires more than 15 then please contact our retail team.
